#MakeIYarn: Thoughts On Friendship - #iamOsazeIsesele @SazzieML

#MakeIYarn

You shouldn't have friends that are interested more in the friendship than your advancement.

Your true friends are those people that will bluntly tell you the truth to ensure you make advancement in life not those who will allow you remain deficient so as not to jeopardize the friendship.

I have had great friends who lashed me out of mediocrity. It may have not have sounded palatable or nice for me to hear but I have had friends who told me plainly that you may be skillful and talented but if you keep spending money anyhow whenever you had a little pay cheque then you will end up financially miserable.

You need friends that can look at you in the face and tell you real truth that will address your flaws and make you better.

I have had friends who said very terrible and hurtful things to me but they are my most respected friends. Their intentions were pure as they wanted to see me grow.

Run away from those who flatter you and make you feel good. They say things like "Abeg leave am like that. If you tell am na, him go vex or say we no like am". Stay away from such people.

#DearYoungPeople! We need friends that will challenge us to greater heights. #DropsTheMic #MakeIYarn #YoungPeople #Africa
