5 Things You Should Do To Have A Big Year (Check It Out) | @SazzieML

Okay! Let me start by saying a happy and prosperous new year to you. Its just the 6th day of the new year. Obviously, I wish you the very best in life this new year. But before you start writing on that fresh new writing pad and that is if you are not already done with writing, let me share a few things with you this beautiful New Year.

Before we begin to write the things you will never do in your life again and the ones we will do, before we start to map out New Year resolutions that won’t go beyond the month of January, let me tell you about the five things we will need to do diligently in other to experience a big year.

I am not saying that New Year resolutions aren’t wonderful but they are better off when we keep to them, achieve them and decide to change. I pray we will this time around. Having said that, here are 5 things I need you to do this year as it’s laid in my heart.

1. Know God more and get closer to him:  I am not saying this because of the news making the rounds that this year is going to be harsh particularly economically for us in this part of the world and that it will only be alright for those who know their God.
I am saying this because it is clearly written in the scriptures that those who know their God will do exploits. If you need the support of God in all your endeavors this year, then you will need to draw closer to him.

Remember He says “If you draw to nigh to me, I will draw nigh to you”. That simply explains that the closer you get to God, the closer He comes to you”.
You will need to involve Him in all you want to do this year and you sure have to be serious about it. A friend once told me “Don’t call God into a thing if you know you are not serious about it”.

2. Know Your Business: Knowing your business is very vital. By knowing your business, I mean you should have knowledge of whatever area you want to have things done in this New Year. If your business is schooling, then you have to know what to do in that area to be a master in your studies.

You should have knowledge of everything you are set to do this year. If you are going to be an entrepreneur this year, you should have knowledge of the kind of business you want to do, you should be knowledgeable about your prospects, finance management and all you need to get the business going and be a master in your field.

“No thief, however skillful, can rob one of knowledge, and that is why knowledge is the best and safest treasure to acquire.” That’s the words of a wise man that once lived.
Get knowledge this year and have a big 2016.

3. Have a Plan: It is a popular maxim that success does not just happen but it is planned for. You cannot expect to have a great 2016 without a setting up a specific purpose and plan for the year.Whether you want to have it on paper or on your digital pad or by heart, it doesn’t matter. Just have a plan.

The sooner you start planning your life, the sooner you begin to live the life of your dreams. I really don’t know how to make you understand this but before you set about any project this year, you should have a proper plan. I know you already know that failing to plan is setting yourself up for failure.

4. Be Creative: I am tired of a world where people are trying to be like and look like the other person. We need to stop this ‘copycat’ bandwagon. If we must truly experience a big year, one has to be very creative.

Don’t worry about failing. It is not necessary if it’s not going to turn out fine. Just try and do something differently this year.

A wise man once said “It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation”. I once knew a musician in my days in school who was monikered “Nigerian John Legend” and it always pissed me off anytime I hear it. Why do you want be the facsimile of someone else when you can be yourself.

Creativity is making mistakes, breaking rules, inventing and experimenting. This year don’t just think but think far outside the box because there is no box in the first place.
Even if you are going to replicate this year be sure to also innovate.

5. Make Realistic Expectations: Do not have a very pessimistic approach to things this year and at the same time try not to overestimate your expectations on whatever you venture it.

Try to make realistic goals and expect things the way they come and move with the flow.  It doesn’t stop you from being highly optimistic.

If you have expectations that are too high, it may become a hurdle in itself so it makes sense to be very hopeful while you keep things practical this year.
I pray that God will help you move forward and become better than you have ever been this New Year. God bless you and bless all that concerns you. #Blessings
